Tara RyanAssociate, Head of Marketing and BD
Tara joined dRMM in 2019 as Marketing and New Business Associate following fifteen years’ experience delivering strategic campaigns across the architecture industry. At dRMM, she translates the studio’s identity, ethos and priorities into a coordinated communications and business development strategy.
Tara’s role spans dRMM’s marketing, communications and business development activities, having an eye on the big picture and the minutiae involved in making things happen, improving processes, and mirroring the rigour used on design projects into the marketing and BD team. She oversees opportunity sourcing, new business submissions, PR and awards, positioning the studio as cross-sector design team with a focus on collaboration. Tara works to build wider cultural awareness around dRMM’s values, process and work, communicating the studio’s purpose to create differentiation and desirability.
Her strength lies in converting ideas and dreams into deliverables with tangible and timely outcomes. This approach supports her view on the wider role of architectural communications – promoting both internal and external dialogue to counter the idea of marketing teams as separate entities.
Tara is passionate about widening inclusion and diversity in the profession and constantly looks for ways for dRMM to lead the way in that field. She produces thoughtful communications that resonate with diverse audiences. Her boundless energy and enthusiasm is channelled into finding new ways for dRMM to become even more socially useful.
Before joining dRMM, Tara worked in marketing and communications roles for Stanton Williams, Cartwright Pickard Architects, the World Architecture Festival, the Architects’ Journal and the Architectural Review.
