Kat ScottSenior Arch Assistant
BARCH (HONS), MARCH
As Senior Architectural Assistant at dRMM Architects Kat works on a mixture of infrastructure, masterplanning, cultural and residential projects. As a dRMM Sustainability Team member, Kat is also developing strategy and conducting research in light of our ‘Architects Declare a Climate and Bio-diversity Emergency’ commitments. Kat is passionate about mitigating the impacts of construction on the wider environment, and advocates for decarbonisation of the industry. Kat is a Steering Group Member for Architects Declare UK, leads the Circular Economy workstream at the London Energy Transformation Initiative (LETI) and is a coordinator at ACAN, focusing on biodiversity and ecological issues. Kat also sits on the Oxford Design Review Panel as a sustainability and energy specialist.
Awarded with a Distinction in MArch Architecture at the Bartlett School of Architecture, Kat’s final drawing ‘Archiving the Anthropocene’ was exhibited at the Royal Academy’s Summer Exhibition in 2018, curated by Grayson Perry and Piers Gogh. Kat previously worked at Carl Turner Architects on ‘meanwhile’ schemes, and at Hawkins\Brown, based at Arup’s office, on the delivery of Crossrail. At Undergraduate level, she achieved First Class in BArch Architecture from the University of Nottingham.
