‘Re-imagining Timber’ symposium speakers announced

The ‘Re-imagining Timber’ symposium, part of the Forest of Fabrication exhibition and events programme, has announced its speaker line-up which includes renowned makers, academics and architects including:

– Amin Taha, Groupwork
– Alison Brooks, Alison Brooks Architects
– Alex de Rijke, dRMM
– David Venables, American Hardwood Export Council
– Professor Pekka Heikkinen, Wood Program Aalto University
 Johannes Rebhahn, Wiehag

The symposium will explore pioneering research and development into the manufacture and use of timber; view the latest innovations in the design of timber structures through award-winning project case studies and discuss ‘what next for timber architecture?’

Registration will open at 1.30pm for a 2.00pm start. The talks will conclude at 6.30pm with a networking drinks reception and a tour of the Forest of Fabrication exhibition by co-curator Alex de Rijke. The full symposium programme will be announced next week.
