dRMM is known for its warmth, approachability and culture of care. Our team shares a passion for bold, exciting and climate conscious design and is united by an energetic, optimistic spirit. Yet we are also defined and strengthened by our diversity. We are a multi-national team with unique backgrounds and experiences that not only inform our designs, but help us to be better co-workers and members of society.

We have a track record in ensuring gender balance across the board

We have a track record in ensuring gender balance across the board

Since the studio’s inception, dRMM has been an ambassador for women in architecture. We are proud to have gender equality in every aspect of our operations and at all levels of employee progression.

We are committed to helping eradicate lack of diversity in architecture

We would like to see an architecture industry that better represents the makeup of society as a whole. dRMM is committed to providing equal opportunities for everyone, regardless of their background.

We acknowledge that people from certain backgrounds are under-represented in architecture and we’re committed to doing what we can to correct this. We are particularly keen to receive applications from Black, Asian and minority ethnic people; transgender people, people with disabilities, people who idenitfy as working class and people who identify as being LGBTQIA+.

Widening participation in architectural education

Widening participation in architectural education

We run a programme of apprenticeships, mentorships, work placements and paid internships targeted at historically excluded groups to build new pathways for less represented applicants to reach both entry and more senior roles within the industry.

In the past, we have been a practice partner of the London School of Architecture, who seek to widen participation in architectural education by providing a cost-neutral model where students study part time in parallel with undertaking a paid work placement, helping them avoid building up costly student debt that creates a barrier to many potential students from underrepresented backgrounds.

Our workplace is defined as much by kindness as it is by excellence

Our workplace is defined as much by kindness as it is by excellence

We focus on empowerment within practice, creating a work model that both supports and educates team members. Our regular in-house learning and external activities guarantee our team feels encouraged and nurtured in their work environment. We value balance, promoting flexibility in work patterns as a means to enable personal development and progression for all. We prioritise physical and mental wellbeing, encouraging an active work week including yoga lessons, an informal running squad and regular team football matches. Most importantly, we enjoy each other’s company and cherish the opportunity to add new faces to our talented, tight-knit and fun-loving team.
