The East Village masterplan has been shortlisted for the RIBA London Regional Award.
The masterplan, designed by Fletcher Priest Architects, was conceived originally to accommodate the 17,000 competitors participating in the 2012 London Olympic and Paralympic games. East Village will now serve as a long term urban environment within the Stratford City site.
dRMM were appointed in 2008 to develop two gateway plots for the masterplan. Plot N26 was designed to include increased dual aspect, the largest balconies on site, high quality glazed amenity spaces, and a non-precast concrete façade system of coloured terracotta.
