dRMM’s design team are on site in Zurich, Switzerland for their first glimpse of Endless Stair. The project will scale new heights in timber design as the first such structure to use American tulipwood cross-laminated timber (CLT).
The CLT for Endless Stair was produced in Italy by timber specialist Imola Legno. The panels were transported to Switzerland and the separate flights of stairs are now being assembled by Nüssli, a company specialising in temporary, permanent and modular structures.
Endless Stair will be brought to London at the beginning of September. Carpenters from Nüssli will then erect and fix the Stair which will open to the public on 13th September.
