dRMM have secured planning for a new office building in the heart of the City of London. Commissioned by Aviva Life & Pensions UK, this bold scheme is designed to respect its historic context whilst offering a long-term, sustainable return for its owners. The ten-storey building will be sited at 51-54 Fenchurch Street, a key retail destination extending from the Leadenhall Market area.
The building’s shifted form blends with its surroundings whilst giving it a uniqueness and exciting presence on its busy street. To amplify space and natural light, circulation has been placed to the western side, providing triple aspect views to all floors. Moreoever, we have achieved an uplift of over 2000 sqm over the existing building. It has been designed to offer flexible office space that can be let on a floor-by-floor basis, yet the striking, high-profile design enables it to also be single-let as a unique headquarters building.
